Case Study

Description

This is a family owned business that has received many awards and accolades. The Company is a reseller and installer of fine windows, glass, skylights and doors in the Residential and Commercial industries. The Company handles everything but automotive glass on buildings two-stories and under with 60% commercial and 40% residential including; door repair/replacement, ADA upgrades, storefront replacement, tenant improvements, Firelite glass, insulated glass, glad shower/tub enclosures, mirrors, tubular skylights, etc. They are still below the Topline Income levels of 2007 but they have more than doubled the bottom-line profit margins from ~9% to greater than 20% through cost cutting, right sizing their facilities and improved estimating. With topline recovery still on the rise they are poised for extraordinary returns as they regain pre-downturn income levels and beyond.

Facilities

The building is constructed of steel and concrete and located within convenient commuting distance for staff. The building is in excellent condition with plenty of room for expansion and additional capacity. 6000 sf warehouse, 1200 sf office. (1) 14 x 14 roll up door in warehouse, 28_ tall ceiling in warehouse. (5) offices, kitchen, and showroom in office area. (2) bathrooms in warehouse, (1) employee, (1) warehouse bath.

Competition

Company commands a strong foothold on the immediate surrounding area with very limited competition. The Company's outstanding reputation and longevity gives them a competitive advantage.

Growth and Expansion

They are more projects than they have the ability to bid on. The Company could easily add a full-time estimator and full-time project manager to take advantage of the market while still holding to their selective project status. This eye towards selective bidding has also contributed to more than double their historical net margins.
